Historically the mango goes back as far as 6,000 years and is closely associated with Hinduism. Mangos are native to Malaysia and India and have a part in local folklore. There are many varieties of mango, over 2,500 in fact and come in many different shapes and sizes. Rich in vitamins A & C and are a good source of beta-carotene. Delicious eaten raw or in salads. Can be added to curries and spicy dishes as well as made into chutneys and salsas.
